TGIF

I am so glad today is almost over! It started out with normal workout of minus 1 hour. Then needed to go to Dr.. That was not a pleasant experience ladies!!! Okay, so two hours later I am tired and kinda sore. Decided I needed a manicure to be pampered after the trama I went through. Great! I spent 12.00 on an absolute wonderful 1 hour 15 minutes!!!!! The korean lady was wonderful. I almost fell asleep it was so good. Okay, next I went to Noble Roman's for lunch, then goodwill for fun, then dashed off to give STephanie dinner before away football game...the band is playing big time tonight... then off to Lowe's for some entertainment...light bulbs and window treatment shopping. Oh baby!!! Now, I am home with my main squeeze and life is good till....................

Okay, no pics yet. I cannot figure out this function. Hold tight though.

Big day!

Big day at our house..
Went shopping in Colleyville...oh it is very schwanky there!! I also visited a 1.9 million dollar home. Wowser...very castle like. Don't think I buy it though too much upkeep. Had great lunch at Cheesecake factory and got caesar salad with slpash of chicken...of course had cheesecake...with strawberries. Wasn't in the mood for carmel/chocolate chip or anything else. Yummo though. Went with new friend to plastic surgeon...what they can do with botoc!!! Underarm sweaters, lips, eyebrows... You name it goes there! EEw. Sad for me I got news have precancer cells in the you know where. Ugh..I hate testing and such. So, a bit nervous.... Had a friend who had this 3 yrs. ago and is fine. I still hate this!!! Mike's birthday...he will spend it with not his family. He has to smooze with 10 people tonight. Kayla rode ahorse last night and did excellent. It was a white stallion. Beautiful horse and many acres of other horses. She fell once but was still getting used to new barn and their way of jumping. She got back on though. Yeah Kayla!!!

House Projects --Texas

Five months living in TX. we have completed many projects to get our home like it should be. The list is as follows; we painted all bedrooms upstairs various colors-- Kayla - purple, Gretchen -morning neon green, Stephanie - robin egg blue; and the spare stayed neutral. The game room was painted khaki which looks really nice. All new carpet was put in hallway upstairs and closets and of course the stairs. Downstirs we created a living room by taking some square fotteg of our bedroom that is painted guacamole with new off white carpet also. The Dining room was painted red tea just on the bottom half with in the future wood floors (maybe next year). The master bedroom was painted a few shades lighter than eggplant with the master bath painted aligth gray with textures upcoming. The bedroom also got new carpeting--ohhh feels sooo good. The family room will stay cocoa cause that is the color in texas to have. The kitchen is still up for discussion...we are plum tired too. Oh yes, the hallway to our bedroom got tile which is awesome and also our master bathroom. So, we just need to do a few fixups and then we will realx from Thanksgiving till beginning of next year. Oh we put in a few light fixtures also.
Pictures are forthcoming!! We need a vacation................

Shopping

Shopping is a very dangerous habit to get into during this time of year. Fall. There are lots of clothes, shoes, flowers, plants and accessories just calling your name. Since moving to Texas I have found how fun and addicitng shopping can be. I think it took place of friends and such. The Goodwills are fun to shop at and many boutique's that have very elite clothes that are reasonably priced. Well, I guess better than paying high, high dollar for. But anyway, there are so many shoe shops here that have any and every shoe you can imagine... lookout closet!!! So for my shoe eager beavers...come visit and we will shop till we definitely drop!! pictures soon!!

Thoughts after General Conference

After viewing Sunday's conference I have come to the conclusion, finally, that I am not the only one overloaded with life stuff and seem to put church second. I finally got the V-8 moment when listening intently in the a.m. of conference. I know what I am supposed to do but often fnd myself winding down the road of tomorrow it will happen. Earlier in the year I was good and prompt with many things of church and other life stuff. I have seemed to look for the tired easy way....... not done at all. What an amazing moment it was to hear many wonderful speakers talk about the basic principles and how they are really easy to do with the help of prayer. I have known that all along but I have gotten sloppy. So my family and I have decided to be very much more diligent about the basics of what is expected of us. I guess the saying goes when the time needs to happen for you it will. So here it is. I love General Conference better than anything else.
